A center of the pre-Columbian mound-building culture, a frontier trading post and one of the wealthiest towns in pre-Civil War America, the City of Natchez is packed with a rich and diverse history. Lyons/Zaremba provided programming and exhibit design services to the City of Natchez for their visitor reception and inter-modal transportation center.

The exhibit design includes a mural based on a landscape painting by John James Audubon, an interactive steamboat pilot house and a series of storytelling exhibits. This project is developed in conjunction with the National Park Service and will serve as a model for future partnership projects.
