Lyons/Zaremba Inc. was invited as one of four exhibit design firms to plan and design exhibits for this $50 million science center. Working with the staff, Lyons/ Zaremba Inc. developed two exhibition areas: the first focuses on the estuary of New York Harbor and its environs, and features four estuarine habitats; the second focuses on the atmosphere, creatively illustrating its basic principles.
Both galleries employ a variety of interactive exhibits such as a stream table and a Bernoulli bench. These two exhibits are bridged by a twenty-foot lighthouse containing a solar telescope.
