The South Carolina Aquarium takes visitors on a journey from the Up-country to Low-country passing through the eastern watershed of the southern Appalachians to offshore reefs. Located on the Cooper River in downtown Charleston, the aquarium focuses on the diversity of habitats along the way. The exhibits Lyons/Zaremba designed emphasize the inter-connectedness of regional ecosystems.
